Don't forget James Fletcher. He came back for a second round of duty to pick up the pieces after Challenger. It's too bad he couldn't stay longer. He must be rolling in his grave right now. When Goldin was obbessively ballistic about killing the worm logo, I knew that guy was nuts. (Just read about his "presidency" at Boston University after NASA.) Griffin was an egotystical fat-headed bully. They way he talked to the press and others with such condescension was disgusting and embarrassing. But even though he couldn't come up with a nice thing to say about the shuttle program to save his life, he said last month he is 100% against ending the program without another program in the wings.

Unfortunately, we never got to see what O'Keefe could do. Columbia was only the second--and last--mission while he was administrator before we went to LSU. I think if he was still there, we would be seeing STS-150 on an expanding shuttle manifest. I'm sure his life has certainly changed after surviving a plane crash in which others died.

I seriously don't understand Bolden...unless the simple explaination is he's an Obama puppet. He flew on the shuttle...he cried when he talks about it...he obviously love the vehicle and the program...but he couldn't wait to see it die AND see Constellation ge shot down. Why? The guy makes no sense. I just have to look past him to keep my sanity about it all.

But yes, the two evils are both Bush and Obama. Bush built the coffin, and Obama hammered in the nails. And look where we are now.
