Giffords reportedly lands in Florida

Rep. Gabrielle Giffords reportedly landed in Florida this afternoon.

A NASA jet used to transport top senior NASA officials and VIPs landed at Patrick Air Force Base at 12:47 p.m., according to Flightaware.com, which tracks air traffic.

Giffords was reportedly on that plane.

However, CJ Karamargin, Giffords’ communications director who is in Houston, could not confirm that the congresswoman arrived in Florida.

She’s in town to watch her husband Mark Kelly command the final flight of shuttle Endeavour. Liftoff is scheduled for 3:47 p.m. Friday.

NASA always flies the crew’s spouses to Florida aboard a NASA plane.

Wives of the five other astronauts arrived in town yesterday and were on the runway to greet their husbands when they arrived in four T-38 training jets.

Giffords' arrival is in time for the traditional crew barbecue, which usually takes place with spouses and a few selected guests two days prior to launch.

Her husband had suggested she only attend part of the barbecue, but she said she wanted to be here for the whole thing.

USA- a nation that allows murderous weaponry to be toted by every homicidal maniac, but throws mothers in jail for breast-feeding infants in a park.

Under WHAT God was that? Certainly not mine.
