Crew told flyaround is "no go"

Mission controllers around 11:15 a.m. confirmed to the crews of the International Space Station and shuttle Discovery that there would be no Soyuz flyabout of the space station on Saturday.

"The Mission Management Team has conferred and the program's official decision is that the flyabout is a no go," radioed Stan Love, an astronaut communicating with the crews from Houston. "We will keep the plus-one day though for (Leonardo module) outfitting and (cargo) transfer and we'll get the station in the best possible shape before Discovery undocks."

"Station copies, thanks," replied station commander Scott Kelly

"And Discovery copies," said shuttle commander Steve Lindsey.
