Space shuttle Endeavour moves closer to launch.

Next up: Space shuttle Endeavour.

While shuttle Discovery remains docked to the International Space Station on its final space mission, shuttle Endeavour today will move closer to its own final launch date.

Endeavour was scheduled to roll from its processing hangar to the Vehicle Assembly Building this morning at Kennedy Space Center.

Once inside the VAB, Endeavour will be attached to its external fuel tank and twin solid rocket boosters.

Endeavour, which will be commanded by astronaut Mark Kelly, is targeting an April 19 launch. It will deliver spare parts and the Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer, a large particle physics experiment, to the outpost.

Endeavour is the second to last shuttle scheduled to fly. Last up: space shuttle Atlantis.
