Ariane 5 Launch Scrubbed In South America

The planned Ariane 5 launch from South America was scrubbed as a result of a technical problem with the rocket and the flight has been postponed 24 hours.

It's unclear at this time the exact nature of the technical problem, but it appears that flight controllers received data that indicated a system was not operating properly.

The delay could prompt a one-day delay in the planned Feb. 24 launch of Discovery.

More to come.
