Repairs to Discovery should be completed in time for the shuttle to launch between Nov. 30 and Dec. 6, Kennedy Space Center Director Bob Cabana said this morning.
"I think we've got all the issues figured out," he said. "I think we've got a shot."
Cabana discussed Discovery during opening remarks at "ISS: The Next Decade," a two-day conference just under way at the Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral.
Discovery's final launch, planned earlier this month, has been delayed by several technical problems, including a hydrogen gas leak, external tank cracks and a balky circuit breaker.
Discovery "just doesn't want to end up in a museum" yet, Cabana said.
