NASA Official to Talk About Crossroad

Russell Romanella, associate director for engineering and technical operations at Kennedy Space Center, will be the guest speaker at the Sept. 14 luncheon meeting of the National Space Club. "Exploration at a Crossroad" will be the title of his 11:30 a.m. presentation at the Radisson at the Port in Cape Canaveral.

Romanella joined NASA in 1981 as a co-op student while attending Florida State University. His experience includes work with shuttle processing, the International Space Station and future NASA programs.

We should ask him if Crossroads is a code word for Dead End.

I sure hope he has some encouraging words. "Future NASA programs" sounds a little vague and speculative. Why is it that we can't have a clear vision for U.S. human spaceflight, like we did during the space race?
