Space Exploration Support Group Launches "Space Hero" Survey

Buzz Lightyear? Capt. Kirk? Kennedy Space Center Director Robert Cabana?

Story Musgrave? John Glenn? Former NASA Administrator Mike Griffin?

Or maybe famed NASA Flight Director Gene Kranz because failure was not an option.

Who is your Space Hero?

The Space Foundation wants to know.

"Space Heroes can be found many places: in the movies, in comic books and graphic novels, on television and in real life. No matter who they are or where they come from, space heroes inspire others to learn and explore," the foundation said in a news release.

Established in 1983, the Space Foundation advocates for all sectors of the space industry - civil, commercial, military and intelligence. The group specializes in space awareness activities, educational programs that bring space into the classroom, and major industry events, including the National Space Symposium in Colorado each April. Its mission: "To advance space-related endeavors to inspire, enable, and propel humanity."

Let the group know what you think. Take the "Space Heroes" survey HERE.
