Spacewalk Preps At Station Running Well Ahead Of Schedule

Discovery astronaut's Rick Mastracchio and Clayton Anderson are running well ahead of schedule, and the second of three excursions planned during the shuttle's visit to the outpost could begin about an hour ahead of schedule.

The spacewalk is officially slated to begin at 2:16 p.m. But the astronauts suited up in fast fashion and the Quest airlock at the outpost is about to be depressurized, a procedure that takes about 30 minutes. So it appears as if the spacewalk could begin around 1:30 a.m.
