Shuttle en route to seaside launch pad

The space shuttle Endeavour is approaching its seaside launch pad this morning at the Kennedy Space Center. Launch remains scheduled for Feb. 7 if all remains on the schedule the next few weeks.

The space shuttle started the move at 4:13 a.m. this morning, as frigid cold gripped the whole spaceport area. Launch crews at the space center will spend the next several days doing pad hook-ups and then verifying mechanical and electrical connections.

You can read more on the details of the mission in this earlier overnight post by Todd Halvorson, who is monitoring the rollout activities at KSC this morning.
