Spacewalking astronauts stowed a spare rail cart drive system outside the International Space Station, but the two are putting off a television camera set-up because they are running short on time.
Endeavour mission specialists Dave Wolf and Tom Marshburn fixed the Linear Drive Unit to an external stowage platform on the port side of the station's central truss. Earlier in the spacewalk they put a space communications antenna and a spare cooling system pump on the same pallet.
But the astronauts won't have time to set up the first of two television cameras on the back porch of the station's Japanese Kibo science research laboratory. The task likely will be added to one of the three spacewalks Endeavour's astronauts plan to carry out during the remainder of their stay at the station.
The cameras will be used to help astronauts swap out payloads mounted on the Japanese Experiment Module-Exposed Facility, which was delivered to the station by the Endeavour crew and installed during a spacewalk over the weekend.
Wolf and Marshburn started a planned 6.5-hour spacewalk at 11:27 a.m. and now will finish up some clean-up work before heading back to the station's U.S. Quest airlock.
