United Launch Alliance's Jerry Jamison has been appointed vice president, launch operations. Jamison has served as director, launch operations, since the formation of ULA on Dec. 1, 2006.Jamison will continue to lead the more than 1,200 employees at launch sites at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida and Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. He is responsible for integrating the launch services for ULA's three launch vehicles: the Atlas V, Delta II and Delta IV and associated product lines.
"Jerry is a highly respected leader at ULA who has embraced the integration of our heritage Atlas and Delta launch teams into one cohesive unit," ULA President and Chief Executive Officer Michael Gass said. "Since ULA began operations, he and his teams have launched 21 missions in 23 months with a 100 percent mission success rate. This is a true reflection of his leadership and the dedication of the launch operations professionals that place mission success as their top priority."
With more than 20 years of space related program experience, Jamison previously served as the Atlas Program launch operations director.
