Chinese launch 3 men, aim for spacewalk

The Associated Press reports this morning ...

China has successfuly launched a rocket that will put a three-man crew into space to carry out the country's first spacewalk.

The rocket blasted off Thursday night in northwestern China, beginning the country's most challenging mission since it first launched a person into space in 2003.

The spacewalk by one of the astronauts is expected to take place either on Friday or Saturday.

It is expected to help China develop the technology for docking two orbiters to create China's first space station in the future.
