Worker falls at shuttle launch pad
An unidentified worker fell from a ladder at Pad 39A early this afternoon and was flown by helicopter to a local hospital.
NASA officials say there were no obvious signs of injury, but the United Space Alliance worker was placed on a back board as a precaution.
NASA says the man fell from an 8-foot ladder and landed on the mobile launcher platform, where space shuttle Atlantis is being readied for a scheduled Thursday launch to the International Space Station.
The worker is not yet being identified. We'll update with his name and condition once they become available from NASA or local emergency officials.
