Live in orbit: Columbus being lifted out of bay
Columbus will be attached to the space station today and opened Tuesday.

"Columbus has started its trip to the new world," said an unidentified voice on NASA-TV.
Operating the space station robot arm, Leland Melvin, a former NFL wide receiver, has lifted Columbus and started it on a several-hour trip to the Harmony docking node.
Spacewalkers Rex Waldheim and Stan Love are recharging their oxygen tanks in preparation for climbing up on the space station to disconnect a nitrogen tank.
The spacewalk was more than an hour behind schedule and was expected to last more than 7.5 hours.
Scientists will work aboard the Columbus module.
