A leaking hydraulic seal in the right-hand landing gear of Discovery can't be fixed until Wednesday, when the vendor will arrive to make the repair.
The repair will delay roll over to the Vehicle Assembly Building, also scheduled for Wednesday, and could delay the roll out to the launch pad, scheduled for Sept. 27, said NASA spokesman George Diller.
"There's a leak in the strut," said Diller, who said repair plans likely would be announced later today.
Discovery is scheduled to launch Oct. 23 on a construction mission to the International Space Station.
