Crew wakes; Morgan to teach again

The astronauts woke to the hard-rocking sound of the Foo Fighters and the song "Times Like These," played for Rick Mastracchio.

"I'd like to thank my daughter, Lisa, for that song," said Mastracchio.

The Endeavour crew wakes to prepare for the possibility of a Saturday spacewalk to repair a 3-inch gouge in tile on Endeavour's underbelly. NASA leaders, however, have not decided the repair is necessary.

Educator/Astronaut Barbara Morgan will conduct her second education event at 8:06 a.m. EDT today. She will answer questions for students at the Challenger Center in Alexandria, Va.

Questions, which have already been submitted, range from the technical - "How do you brush your teeth in space?" - to the speculative - "Why is earth the only planet with people?"

The event will be hosted by June Scobee-Rodgers, widow of the Challeger Commander Dick Scobee. Look for coverage in The Flame Trench at FLORIDATODAY.com.
