Delta 4 disassembly on tap

United Launch Alliance and the U.S. Air Force are set today to take apart the Delta 4 Heavy rocket now sitting on Pad 37.

The mammoth rocket, which was set to launch a missile warning spacecraft this spring, needs to be moved out of the way so that workers can repair serious cracks in parts of the metal launch table.

The work is likely to delay the mission into the summer and maybe the fall. Todd Halvorson had a full story explaining the situation and implications here.
