MiTex rocket launch slips a day

The Delta 2 scheduled to lift MiTex, a defense satellite technology demonstration mission, will try for a Wednesday launch instead of Tuesday.

The launch slipped a day when technicians noticed there could be interference between the rocket and parts on the fairing that protects the rocket. The experts have to make sure there won't be a problem before the launch.

If the rocket flies Wednesday from the Cape, the launch window will extend from 5:33 p.m. to 9:33 p.m. EDT.
