FLORIDA TODAY's J.D. Gallop reports that one of the suspects arrested in drug raids on Wednesday is a budget analyst in NASA's finance department at Kennedy Space Center, Shondrae Bain of Porpoise Drive in Rockledge (pictured at right). Police recorded telephone calls among the suspects. Police records say Bain used a cellular telephone to engage in a "series of drug-related conversations" with other suspects. What's interesting: The phone number that police say Bain used is actually her work number, as listed in the Kennedy Space Center directory. They accuse her of warning another suspect about police presence and providing rental cars for that suspect, who allegedly deposited money in her personal bank account. If convicted, among the penalties could be 10 years to life imprisonment and a $4 million fine. The suspects in general are accused of possessing and conspiring to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
